- Authenticate accounts and maintain account security.
- Personalize your feed and content recommendations.

- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and security incidents.
- Maintain the integrity and safety of the Zone-X community.
- Process identity verification requests for users applying for a trust verification badge.
5 Data Security
We take the security of user information seriously and use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
- Password Protection: Account passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are not stored as plain-text passwords.
- SSL/TLS: Data transmitted between your device and our website is protected using HTTPS/SSL/TLS where supported.
- Access Controls: Access to administrative systems and user information is restricted according to operational needs.
- Ongoing Security Checks: We periodically review user account security, platform functionality, and security configurations to identify and address potential weaknesses.
Zone-X has not represented that its platform has undergone an independent third-party security audit or penetration test. We welcome appropriate independent security testing and may pursue additional assessments as the platform develops.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6 Third-Party Services
Zone-X uses certain third-party services to operate and improve parts of the platform. Depending on how you use Zone-X, these services may process information on our behalf.
- Cloudflare R2: Used for storing and delivering certain uploaded media such as images and videos.
- Google OAuth: Used to allow users to authenticate using supported Google sign-in functionality.
- OneSignal: Used to provide push notifications where enabled and permitted.
- Persona: Used specifically for identity verification when a user applies for a Zone-X trust verification badge.
We do not use third-party identity verification for ordinary account registration. Third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.
7 Identity Verification
Zone-X may offer a trust verification badge to users who wish to demonstrate that they have successfully completed an identity verification process.
For this purpose, Zone-X uses Persona, a third-party identity verification provider.
When a user voluntarily applies for a trust verification badge, Persona may collect and process information necessary to perform the identity verification process, which may include:
- A government-issued identity document or other supported identification document.
- A facial image or selfie used as part of the identity verification process.
- Information generated during the verification process that is necessary to determine whether the submitted identity information can be verified.
The purpose of this verification is to help Zone-X determine whether the person requesting a trust verification badge is the person they claim to be.
Identity verification is separate from ordinary Zone-X registration and is not required simply to create an account.
Persona's handling, storage, retention, and deletion of verification information is also governed by Persona's applicable privacy practices. Users should review Persona's privacy documentation before completing an identity verification process.
8 Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Access: Request information about personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and applicable personal information.
- Portability: Where applicable, request your information in a structured and commonly used format.
- Withdrawal or Objection: Where applicable, object to or withdraw consent for certain processing activities.

9 Data Retention

Zone-X is not intended for children under the age of 13. Users under 13 are not permitted to register for or use the platform.
Our registration process requires users to provide their date of birth and is designed to prevent users under 13 from creating an account.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Zone-X, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11 International Data Transfers
Zone-X uses third-party hosting, infrastructure, storage, authentication, notification, analytics, and identity verification services.
Because these providers may operate infrastructure in different countries or regions, your information may be processed or stored outside the country where you live.
We do not state that all Zone-X data is stored in a particular country because the location of infrastructure used by our service providers may vary. We select service providers with security and reliability considerations in mind and expect them to apply appropriate safeguards to information they process.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Zone-X, our services, our data practices, or applicable requirements.
When we make material changes, we may notify users through appropriate means, including posting the updated policy on this page.
