Section 1

Acceptance of These Terms

In short: By creating an account or using Zone-X, you agree to follow these Terms of Service.

Welcome to Zone-X. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Zone-X website, applications, features, services, and community ("Platform").

By registering for an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create an account or use the Platform.

Section 2

About Zone-X

In short: Zone-X is a social community platform designed for people to connect, communicate, share content, and discover interests.

Zone-X provides an online community where registered users may create profiles, connect with other users, communicate, and share content through features made available on the Platform.

We may introduce, modify, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time as the Platform develops.

Some features may require an account, additional verification, or compliance with additional rules.

Section 3

Your Account

In short: You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your account secure.

3.1 Registration

To use features that require an account, you must register using information requested during the registration process.

You agree to provide information that is accurate, complete, and reasonably current.

You must not create an account using false information or impersonate another person.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your account credentials and devices from unauthorized access.

If you believe that someone has accessed your account without authorization, you should contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

3.3 One Person, One Authentic Account

Unless Zone-X expressly permits otherwise, you should not create or operate accounts for the purpose of impersonating another person, misleading other users, circumventing enforcement actions, or abusing the Platform.

Section 4

Minimum Age

In short: You must be at least 13 years old to register for and use Zone-X.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Zone-X.

Our registration process requires users to provide their date of birth and is designed to prevent users under the minimum age of 13 from registering.

If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 13, we may suspend or terminate the account and take appropriate steps regarding information associated with that account.

Users must not provide a false date of birth or otherwise attempt to bypass the Platform's age requirements.

Section 5

Identity and Trust Verification

In short: Zone-X may offer identity verification to help confirm that a user is the person they claim to be.

Zone-X may provide an optional identity or trust verification feature. Where available, this feature is intended to help users distinguish accounts whose identity has been verified from accounts that have not completed verification.

If you choose to complete identity verification, Zone-X may use a third-party verification provider to collect and process information necessary to verify your identity.

Verification may involve government-issued identification and facial verification or other information required by the verification provider.

A verification badge indicates that the applicable verification process has been completed. It does not mean that Zone-X guarantees a user's behavior, statements, qualifications, reputation, or intentions.

Section 6

Content You Share

In short: You remain responsible for the content you post on Zone-X.

You may be able to upload, publish, send, or otherwise share content through Zone-X, including text, photographs, videos, profile information, comments, and other material ("Your Content").

You retain ownership of Your Content to the extent that you have rights in it.

By submitting or publishing Your Content on Zone-X, you grant Zone-X a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, distribute, and technically modify that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the Platform.

This license exists only for the purposes associated with providing and operating Zone-X and does not transfer ownership of Your Content to Zone-X.

You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to share content that you upload.

Section 7

Prohibited Activities

In short: Use Zone-X responsibly and do not use the Platform to harm, deceive, exploit, or unlawfully target others.

You must not use Zone-X to:

Break applicable laws or regulations.
Impersonate another person or organization.
Create misleading or fraudulent accounts.
Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate other users.
Exploit or sexually abuse minors.
Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or account restrictions.
Scrape or collect user information through unauthorized automated methods.
Use another person's account without authorization.
Spam users or abuse communication features.
Distribute content that violates our Community Guidelines.
Use the Platform to conduct fraudulent activities.
Interfere with the normal operation or security of Zone-X.

Section 8

Content Moderation and Enforcement

In short: We may remove content or restrict accounts when necessary to protect the community and the Platform.

Zone-X may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or that presents a significant risk to users, the Platform, or our services.

Depending on the circumstances, we may issue warnings, restrict features, temporarily suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts.

Where an appeal process is available, users may be able to challenge certain enforcement decisions through the available Platform functionality.

We do not guarantee that every violation will be detected or that every piece of content will be reviewed.

Section 9

Security

In short: We take reasonable measures to protect Zone-X, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect Zone-X and user information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss, or destruction.

We use reputable infrastructure and service providers to support the operation and security of the Platform.

We also periodically review our own account security, platform configuration, and security practices as part of our ongoing efforts to improve the Platform.

At this time, Zone-X should not be interpreted as having undergone an independent third-party security audit or certification unless we expressly state otherwise.

We welcome responsible security testing and reports from security researchers and other individuals who identify potential vulnerabilities, provided that such testing is conducted responsibly and does not harm users, access information without authorization, disrupt the Platform, or violate applicable law.

Despite our efforts, no website, application, server, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Section 10

Third-Party Services

In short: Some Zone-X features may rely on third-party providers.

Zone-X may use third-party service providers for infrastructure, storage, identity verification, communications, security, analytics, or other technical functions required to operate the Platform.

Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to those providers' own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for services that are independently operated by third parties, although we seek to work with providers that we reasonably consider appropriate for the relevant service.

Section 11

Account Suspension or Termination

In short: You may stop using Zone-X at any time, and we may suspend or terminate accounts in appropriate circumstances.

11.1 Closing Your Account

You may stop using Zone-X and may request deletion of your account through the available account controls or by contacting us where applicable.

11.2 Suspension or Termination by Zone-X

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or created a significant security, safety, or operational risk.

We may also take action where required by law or where necessary to protect Zone-X, our users, or third parties.

11.3 Effect of Termination

After an account is terminated or deleted, certain provisions of these Terms may continue to apply where their nature requires them to survive, including provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, disputes, and other continuing obligations.

Section 12

Account Deletion and Information

In short: When you delete your account, we will handle your information according to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.

When your account is active, we retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and maintain your account and the services you use, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where certain information must or may be retained for legitimate purposes, including legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Section 13

Platform Availability

In short: We work to keep Zone-X available, but uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed.

Zone-X is provided on an ongoing basis, but we do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities.

The Platform may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical problems, security incidents, third-party service interruptions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Section 14

Disclaimer of Warranties

In short: Zone-X is provided on an "as available" basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zone-X is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the Platform will always meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be completely free of errors or security vulnerabilities.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

Section 15

Limitation of Liability

In short: Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zone-X and its operators, service providers, and partners will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

This may include losses arising from service interruptions, unauthorized access, loss of content, account suspension, technical errors, or reliance on user-generated content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful under applicable law.

Section 16

Changes to These Terms

In short: We may update these Terms as Zone-X develops.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, our practices, legal requirements, security considerations, or other legitimate reasons.

When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Platform or other appropriate means where reasonably necessary.

The "Last updated" date at the beginning of these Terms indicates when the current version was last updated.

You should review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of Zone-X after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Section 17

Governing Law and Disputes

In short: We prefer to resolve disagreements fairly and constructively.

These Terms are intended to be governed by the applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply to you.

If you have a concern or dispute regarding Zone-X, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a user from exercising a legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.

Section 18

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, while the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
